Working Principle of Flameless Venting Device for Metal Processing Plants:
The flameless venting device comprises two components—an explosion-proof panel and a fire extinguishing module. The explosion-proof panel responds rapidly to rising deflagration pressure, opening immediately to reduce pressure. As the expanding fireball passes through the open panel, it is intercepted by the extinguishing module. The stainless steel precision mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing flames to prevent propagation and avoid secondary or multiple explosions. The extinguishing module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces the temperature of hot gases, and captures both burning and unburned dust passing through the open panel.
Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise generated by production equipment are minimized. When flames pass through the mesh flame-retardant element, heat exchange occurs, rapidly cooling high-temperature flames, releasing pressure and smoke, while also reducing pressure waves or noise from production equipment.

However, installing such devices indoors is not permitted by safety regulations as it endangers surrounding personnel and equipment. Pressure waves and flames from explosions may trigger secondary or multiple explosions, posing risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion-proof panels for dust collectors is unreliable. We recommend using flameless venting + isolation technology (a cost-effective solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.
